Everyone is looking for the best chiropractor, and rightfully so. It would be crazy to want the second-best chiropractor and even more crazy to want the worst chiropractor. But with so many chiropractors to choose from, how do you know who’s the best? That’s a great question.

The simple answer isn’t very simple at all. The best chiropractor for one person is often not the best chiropractor for someone else. That’s why one person can go around telling anyone who will listen, “My chiropractor is the best,” while another person goes around saying “That chiropractor is just OK”, and they are both talking about the same chiropractor.

If you are looking for a chiropractor, the most important thing is that you find the best chiropractor for you. That will probably require you to do a little research and have a little patience. There are a lot of chiropractors to choose from, and each of them does things a little differently than the rest.

Some chiropractors are better at helping kids. Some chiropractors are better at helping athletes. Some chiropractors are better at helping senior citizens. Some chiropractors are better at helping people with headaches. There are so many different types of people, conditions, and chiropractors to take care of them, this list could go on forever.

Our goal is always to be the best chiropractor possible, but we know that we aren’t going to be the best chiropractor for everyone in the area. That’s why we encourage people to visit our website, read our reviews, and check out our social media pages. We want our future patients to get a feel for who we are and how we can help them before they ever schedule their first appointment.

Hopefully, the end result will be that the people who are the best fit for us will know they found the right place, and we will have the opportunity to be the best chiropractor for them.

Dr. Kirk Hansen - Chiropractic Orthopedist

Dr. Hansen’s journey into chiropractic began after an athletic injury. Experiencing firsthand the immediate relief and safe, drug-free recovery that chiropractic care provided, he was inspired to dedicate his life to helping others in the same way.

That experience still drives the way he practices today: with empathy, skill, and a focus on restoring function without unnecessary medications or surgery.

Over the years, Dr. Hansen has cared for thousands of patients, including families, veterans, injured workers, and long-time community members who continue to trust his care.

More about Dr. Hansen

1. The best chiropractors listen:

You may already know what it’s like to make an appointment with a doctor or some other type of professional who isn’t really listening when you are speaking. It’s really frustrating. Unfortunately, some chiropractors are like that, too. This is a very bad sign.

If you make an appointment with a chiropractor and you feel like they aren’t listening to you, I would strongly suggest that you walk away. They are not the best chiropractor for you.

2. The best chiropractors work with you:

People visit chiropractors for a wide variety of reasons. Your reasons for scheduling an appointment is probably very different than my reasons. That’s why it’s important that you and your chiropractor are on the same page.

One person may go to a chiropractor because they want relief from pregnancy pain. Another person may go to the chiropractor because they want to recover from an injury and get back to playing sports. Someone else may go to the chiropractor because they suffer from chronic headaches.

Each person described has different goals for care, and they require a different treatment plan to achieve those goals. The best chiropractors will work with their patients and tailor their treatment so that each individual patient reaches their specific goals.

3. The best chiropractors refer you out if necessary:

Some people say that chiropractors think they can cure everything. That’s simply not true. While there are many things that respond well to chiropractic care, there are also just as many things that do not.

For instance, if someone showed up to the chiropractor with a broken arm, they need to be referred out. Or if someone arrived at the chiropractor’s office showing signs of a stroke or a heart attack, that person should be referred to the hospital. The chiropractor isn’t going to be the best fit for those problems.

It’s a bad sign if a chiropractor thinks they can fix everything and everyone or is unwilling to refer to other medical professionals if necessary. Regardless of whether a patient has a major health crisis or they just aren’t responding to chiropractic care as expected, the best chiropractors are willing to refer them out to someone who may be able to help.

How do I know if a chiropractor is the right fit for me?

The best chiropractor for you is someone who listens, understands your goals, and takes the time to explain your options. A good fit means you feel heard, respected, and confident in the care being recommended. At our Lacey office, Dr. Kirk Hansen focuses on one-on-one visits so patients never feel rushed or ignored.

What experience should I look for when choosing a chiropractor in Lacey?

Experience matters, especially when dealing with pain, injuries, or chronic conditions. Dr. Hansen has advanced training in chiropractic orthopedics, allowing him to perform thorough evaluations and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. His background helps him identify the root cause of problems rather than guessing or using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Does the best chiropractor use the same treatment plan for everyone?

No. The best chiropractors understand that every patient is different. Treatment should be tailored to your condition, lifestyle, and goals. Dr. Hansen works closely with each patient to create an individualized plan, whether someone is seeking short-term relief or longer-term support for mobility and function.

What makes Dr. Kirk Hansen different from other chiropractors in Lacey?

Patients often choose Dr. Hansen because of his honest, no-pressure approach. He offers longer appointment times, private one-on-one care, and clear explanations. Care continues only as long as it is helpful, and patients are never pushed into unnecessary treatment plans.

Is it important that a chiropractor listens to their patients?

Yes. Listening is one of the most important traits of a great chiropractor. Dr. Hansen takes time to understand your concerns, symptoms, and goals before recommending care. Many patients appreciate that they are not rushed and that their questions are fully answered.

Should a chiropractor refer me to another provider if needed?

Absolutely. The best chiropractors know their limits and will refer patients to another healthcare provider when chiropractic care is not the best option. Dr. Hansen believes ethical care means doing what is best for the patient, even if that means referring out.

What conditions does Dr. Hansen commonly help patients with?

Dr. Hansen helps patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines, sciatica, joint pain, arthritis, sports injuries, auto accident injuries, work-related injuries, and posture-related problems. His orthopedic training allows him to safely evaluate both spinal and extremity issues.

Does the best chiropractor offer unrushed appointments?

Yes. Quality care takes time. Dr. Hansen schedules longer visits so he can stay focused on one patient at a time. This allows for better evaluations, more precise care, and a more comfortable experience overall.

How do reviews help me choose the best chiropractor?

Reviews provide insight into real patient experiences. Reading reviews can help you understand how a chiropractor communicates, how patients feel about their care, and whether the office environment is a good fit for you. Dr. Hansen encourages prospective patients to read reviews and explore the website before scheduling.

Is the best chiropractor always the same for everyone?

No. The best chiropractor is the one who matches your needs, preferences, and goals. Some chiropractors specialize in certain techniques or patient populations. Dr. Hansen’s goal is not to be the best chiropractor for everyone in Lacey, but to be the best chiropractor for the patients who are a good fit for his approach.

What should I expect when scheduling my first visit with Dr. Hansen?

You can expect a thoughtful, straightforward experience. Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation, clear explanations, and honest recommendations. There are no long-term contracts or pressure-based treatment plans. The focus is on helping you feel better safely and efficiently.

Why do so many patients consider Dr. Hansen their chiropractor of choice in Lacey?

Patients appreciate Dr. Hansen’s experience, integrity, and patient-first mindset. His ability to listen, personalize care, and provide honest guidance helps people feel confident they have found the right chiropractor for their needs.

He and his wife, Diana, take you in and treat you like family. Dr. Hansen has had his practice for decades now and with that comes wisdom that is much needed in this industry.

He and his wonderful wife both go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. Every now and then I have to bring my kids with me and they both are very inclusive with them during my visit and make a wonderful experience for them as well.

"An amazing team!"

If you are looking for a chiropractor, please visit Dr. Kirk Hansen. He has been my chiropractor for many years.

Dr. Hansen has helped me through many aches and pains, some worse than others but each needing professional help. He listens, then helps. I am so thankful! Also, what I have appreciated is I schedule an appointment when I need help and a follow up if I need more help.

Dr. Hansen doesn't suggest that I come back for a few more visits, just in case. If I feel I need additional care, I call and make another appointment.

Helping me heal is Dr. Hansen's goal and the goal of Diana, his wife, who manages the office. An amazing team! - Stephanie B.
